Would like to replace the inner tie rods connected to the steering rack. Need step by step instructions (descript) as well as tools needed. Thanks in advance.

There is a special tool required to do this job, do you have access to it?

I thought the special tool was for late model cars. Sorry, I wasn't specific. This is on a 96' Saab 900. Is the tool still required? Can the bolts be seized? I read somewhere that a "lock plate" has to be removed?

They may be seized, Mitchell I data base only says to undo inner tie rod ends in reference to removing the rack, the nuts will be tight, check the thread form on the new units to ensure left or right handed threads as well.
