yes i have a 1996 pontiac trans am with 6 speed and lt1 motor. i have new msd wires cap coil plugs complete tuneup im having a skip are hesatation until i get around 3000 rpms. I have a strong gas smell comeing frome the exoust.i have no codes.IS there anybody that has had this problem or know how to fix it

Probable causes of an engine running rich are as follows:

1.Excessive fuel pressure can be cause by restricted fuel return line
2.Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3.Leaking injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
4.Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
5.Restricted air intake system.
