When braking at low speeds, rear wheels lock up. Brake and ABS lights are both on. What could cause this?

it cold be grease on brake shoes causing that or a bad sensor. but regardless it needs to be scanned for codes to see what is really wrong with abs. a local pro will have to do it.

if it's not a pro model it wont read abs codes. auto parts ones only read engine/trans codes.

Hey Jjw11,

This condition is usually caused by the rear brake shoes to drum fit is incorrect, or the brake shoes have "sprung" which allows the shoes to contact the full drum instead of the middle portion shoe, replace the shoes and spring hardware as well.

Please let me know, Ken
