on 3800 3.8 when installing new oil pressure valve does the spring or piston go toward oil pump

the piston goes towards the pump then the spring.

Are you sure?I put it in that way now I have no oil presure,before it was almost 70lbs

if the pump is dry put some vaseline in it then starat the car

put vaseline in the cavitys. Not in where the piston goes.....
