I've had just about enough with this car. I've never known it to not have the check engine light on.

Around June or July of last year, I had spent the weekend away and went to go home. When I started the car it started kind of rough but I didn't really think anything of it. I filled it up with gas and when I started it, it started rough again and then it ran rough as I was driving. It felt like it wasn't getting any power and would shake when I pushed the accelorator. I went to get on the interstate when I noticed the engine light was blinking, which it had never done before. I took it to a shop and they said one of the ignition coils was going bad, replaced it and everything was fine.
About a month later it started running bad again. My dad changed out the rest of the coils and it ran better for a little while, then started again. It started doing it off and on. Some days it would run fine and others it wouldn't.
I got the oil changed and it briefly ran better but started right back again. My dad changed the spark plugs and that was the longest it ran well. I was able to take a trip 80 miles and back with no problems. But now it's running bad again and I have no idea why.

When I'm driving, I can have the pedal on the floor and it feels like it's not going anywhere. Like it's stuck on something. When I'm stopped at a red light or whatever, it shakes. So much that if I take my hands off the steering wheel it jumps around. Sometimes it will lurch. If I give it enough gas it will kind of jump then get stuck again.

The only things left in the ignition system is the wires and module.

As far as the power, from all the miss firing you have damaged the cat converter and it is now clogged up the exhaust. It needs to be replaced
