how can I determine, at home, whether my '96 Nisaan Quest needs new motor mounts??? Thanks!

200K miles is one way another to see if broken place in gear foot firmly onbrake hood open REV engine should raise a little if jumps up sevaerl inches then bad. Do same in reverse

another way is to put the vehicle in park with the e brake released . open the hood and rock the car back and forth. you will see the motor jump back and forth if you have any bad mounts.
