Car hard to Start

Hi,
This is regarding 1996 Nissan Presea EFI Automatic car.

* Have to hold the ignition key on "Engine ON" for 2-3 Second to start the car.
* Once it has started, I can shut it off and it will restart just fine (No key holding)
* Sometimes it starts in first attempt too.(No key holding)

> Battery & charging system, Running condition are 100% OK.

Is it bad to hold the key like this to start & what would be the cause for this problem?

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs-start here

Hi,

I have already got fuel pressure tested.
It was alright & fuel pump working correctly.

Test the ignition switch

Hi rasmataz,

Please tell me is it possible to test the ignition switch myself?
How can we do that?

No electrical experience bring it in-you might make things worst then it is-
