Nissan Pathfinder 1996-was driving on the freeway and started smoking. Could smell burnt rubber and what appears to have some oil splatter. Radiator water is good. Runs kind of rough prior to it smoking. It starts up, but not sure if its drivable. Clutch?

Hello,

Can you tell were the smoking was coming from front of engine or rear? Also what is the location of the oil spatter?

Have you taken a look at the belts. From what you describe it is possible that you burned off a belt. And a possible cause for that is a locked up bearing on a pulley.
