can a used ECM from a 96 nissan maxima gle with a different part number be used in the same vehicle.

the crank sensor was changed and car still will not start. ECM is needed and I found one at junk yard but part number does not match. Can I still use his ECM.

Part numbers do not have to match. If you told the people at the junkyard what vehicle you had then they should have sold you one that will work with it. They have a database that tells them what will work. It should work just fine.
