Hello,

This issue is likely due to a faulty fuel level sending unit.
The level sender consists of a float and a resistor panel. Over time the resistor can go bad and provide incorrect fuel level or not show anything at all.

The fuel level sending unit is part of the fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
