Code p1400 came up I was told thatwas the egr valve needed replacing but thats not what it says when I look it up what needs to be done?

Check to see if fuse #17 is blown first. This is an egr solenoid valve. If it still stays lit after trying to clear the engine light with a scanner then havea pro look at it because it can be a bad connection/ or shorted wire.
