1996 Nissan Maxima Bogging down.

My Nissan maxima acts as if a carb is flooding, but the car doesn't have a carb. the gas pedal can be complete to the floor and the car will not catch any kind of speed. what could this be?

Check the coolant temp sensor and associated wiring
