So all of my gears from 1,2,4,5 & R all works fine, but when i switch to 3 nothing happens. Is it something wrong in my engine? electrical? or transmission. Its been like this for awhile. I tried to check the electrical but it was pretty confusing to look at. and isn't if its the transmission, all of my gears should have been messed up? I really need to figure this out.

if you are just missing 3rd gear then it's a trans problem.

leakage in your engine would cause a clutch problem and it would be with all gears notjust 3rd. if you have a side cover to remove, then do that and take a look inside, it may be possible that the shifter isnt' shifting it to 3rd but I kind of doubt that.

from what this sounds like you have an enginge problem not a transmission what is it? engine or transmission if your spark plug is blackened/covveredin oil /fouled then check compression and scan for codes.
