So all of my gears from 1, 2, 4, 5 & R all works fine, but when I switch to 3 nothing happens. Is it something wrong in my engine? Electrical? Or transmission. Its been like this for awhile. I tried to check the electrical but it was pretty confusing to look at. And isn't if its the transmission, all of my gears should have been messed up? I really need to figure this out.

Automatic or manual? If automatic it may be electrical

If you are just missing 3rd gear then it's a trans problem.

Is there a way to test the transmission? Because the mechanic I asked said, there might be a leakage in my engine.

Leakage in your engine would cause a clutch problem and it would be with all gears notjust 3rd. If you have a side cover to remove, then do that and take a look inside, it may be possible that the shifter isnt' shifting it to 3rd but I kind of doubt that.

Well me and my dad open the spark plug for the 3rd gear and the gasoline is not being burnt? Could that be a sign?

From what this sounds like you have an enginge problem not a transmission what is it? Engine or transmission if your spark plug is blackened/covveredin oil /fouled then check compression and scan for codes.
