Timing belt broke while driving. Bent valves and the head has been replaced, the timing belt replaced, but the car will not start. The crank shaft position sensor also replaced. What do we need to do to get fire?

Hello,

Will it run on starting fluid? When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds? Lets start by checking compression. here are tow guides to help fix your car:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-engine-compression

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-cranks-but-wont-start

Please run down these guides and report back.

Make sure the battery cable are connected correctly. There is a power wire coming off of the battery as well. There is a MFI relay that needs to be checked. here are the engine wiring diagrams and a guide to help you check the connections:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Can you take a video of the engine cranking over so we can see what's going on? That would be great. You can upload it here with your response. We can fix it for you just need to hear the engine cranking over before we start.

Thank you. Just found out that the problem maybe underneath the motor. The timing belt was checked. Its still not starting. Another mechanic suggested pouring oil on the spark plug to try to trigger compression.
