1996 Mercury Tracer 96 Cruise Control Working Nothing Happens Try Turing On

96 mercury tracer cruise control is not working, Nothing happens when i try turing it on, no dash light with the cruise inditcator comes on, i've checked all the fuses and they are all good, what should my next move be?

If the switches are on the steering wheel, suspect the clock spring. That's a wound-up ribbon cable in a plastic housing under the steering wheel. Also check if the horn works. If it doesn't, that's an additional clue to the clock spring.
