1996 Mercedes Benz 280 Power Washed Motor Running Fine Before After Did That

I power washed the motor it was running fine before after I did that it has idle problems and the check engine light is on they told me I might of wet something mabe spark plug wires that it would go away when it dryed.but it's been a couple of days and same problems any ideas

I do feel that it will be a water problem, i would go get a mechanic to air dry all the electronics next.
