Growling

My Protege makes an awful loud growling noise from under the hood whenever the engine is running (idle and cruising and accelerating). I have kept up-to-date on maintenance for it; it has nearly 150,000 miles on it. What could be causing this issue? Thanks.

Your going to have to pin it down to where it's coming from you can get a long screwdriver up to your ear and touch different part's of the engine but you have to be very careful of the spinning belt.Let me know what you find.
