died while idling at proper rpm. have spark at coil not getting to the spark plugs. new cap n rotor at tdc on 1. i don't know what is,possible at this point.

Were the wires checked/tested? An ohmmeter would allow you to test the resistance. Must have continuity but less than 25 k ohms.
