Grinding and whining noise..

My car makes a whining noise when I press the gas.. And when I turn the wheel I hear a grinding noise. What could be causing these noises?

Have you had the brakes checked as well as wheel bearings for the grinding noise? Also, have you checked the power steering fluid? Open the hood and have a helper turn the steering to see if you can tell where the sound is coming from.
