oil indicator light

i had a alternator belt replaced on my 1996 es300 lexus at an oil shop and after i drove out of shop the oil indicator light remained on. i drove back to shop and had attendant check oil and it was ok. what should i do?

If this is the oil pressure light, it may just be a faulty switch, so i would first go get the oil pressure tested with a mechanical gauge, this will give a true indication as to what the oil pressure is, start here.
