1996 Lexus es 300 needs a transmission, and I found one that is good with warranty but it is a transmission out of a 1992 Lexus es 300 are they compatible?

Check the tranmission model codes. Ensure the wire connectors for the valve body are similar.
A used transmission that is 20 years old, not what I would like for a replacement.
