Hello, my oil pressure gauge is fluttering up and down, it goes below 40 when idling, then goes up when driving, what could cause this?Is this natural (common). Or could it be my oil pump going bad?THANK YOU!

Hi well kind of normal for this car you can replace the oil sending unit may straighten up. You can have the pressure tested with a manual guage to see exactly what it is. But honestly if not ticking and not below 30 psi prob not really a problem. Good luck

I LOOKED AT ALL AVAILABLE DIAGRAMS--IT IS NOT SHOWN
I LOOKED UP "SENDING UNITS", ON THE CHART, IT SAYS THAT THE OIL PRESSURE SENDER IS "NEAR THE DISTRIBUTOR"
SO YOU MIGHT GAZE AT THE PIC OF WHAT THE PART LOOKS LIKE, AND SEARCH ALL AROUND THE DISTRIBUTOR.
