1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Headlights Start Flashing Sometimes On Auto Will Stop

The headlights start flashing sometimes when on auto, will stop if shut off & switch to manual. car won't start sometimes like battery is dead, but when put on the charger shows full charge. Might start fine , then boom nothing next time. There is a new alternator & battery. Frustrated to say the least!

have the battery tested including load test. aut parts do it for free. make sure terminals are clean at battery connection
