blowing fuses?

have a jeep grand cherokee keeps blowing the 20amp fuse to fuel filter --why? i am stumped changed it 4 times in 10 min. please help

There has to be a short in the electrical wiring or the pump itself is bad. One thing to try is to remove the fuel tank and disconnect the fuel pump. Then replace the fuse and see if it blows. If it doesn't, then the pump is most likely bad. If it still blows, then there is a short between the fuse and the pump.
