How to change cam position sensor jeep 1996 cherokee 6 cylinder

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove distributor cap.
3. Disconnect electrical connector at camshaft position sensor.

NOTE: DO NOT pull on sensor electrical lead.

4. Remove distributor rotor.
5. Lift camshaft position sensor off distributor housing.

INSTALLATION

1. Install camshaft position sensor on distributor housing.
2. Install distributor rotor.
3. Connect electrical connector at camshaft position sensor.
4. Install distributor cap.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
