recently replaced A/C compressor.....drove a few miles, turned on the A/C and it worked....however, when
trying to turn off the A/C it would not stop blowing even with the engine off. Why?

because it's auto temp control it will need to be scanned for codes to see what is wrong. it may be a harness burnt together with a hot wire and blower wire or maybe a blower motor relay so check that first.
