1996 Isuzu Trooper, fuel pump went out, replaced pump and filter, getting spark, what am I doing wrong?

I can hear the pump kicking on when I turn the key on, and it's turning back off, making me think I'm up to fuel pressure, but it just won't start, will turn over until the battery dies, and gets faster like it's trying to start, but just won't fire. Any suggestions? Like I said, pump and filter are both brand new, and I know i'm getting spark.

Check the fuel injctors for pulsing.

Fuel pump would prime for a limited time and stop, not stop because the pressure is up. Have the fuel pressure tested.

Try some starting fluids and see if it starts.

It fires right up, and will usually run for a small amount of time, as you would expect with starting fluid, but acts like it's just not getting fuel, it gets fuel all the way through the line to the injectors, just not sure if the injectors are working. How would I check that?

At the injectors, unplug one of the connectors and with ignition on, use a test lamp or DVOM to check for battery voltage at one of the wires. If voltage is available, connect a noid light between the 2terminals and crank the engine, if the noid light does not pulse, the injectors are not being grounded by the PCM. It could be a faulty PCM or camposition sensor or its wiring circuit.
