ac inop at times

1996 I30 my ac blows cold when first turned on after about 5 minutes it stops blowing cold, the compressor is engaged but not cycling. The low side line is cold at first then starts to get hot. The system was vacuum and fully charged up.

you might have what is called a freeze up condition. you may have a small blockage and the drieir may not have been changed causing the water to freeze at the evaporator. this shold be checked by a pro with a set of gauges on it. it cold also be one of the actuators in the heater unit not working right as well......
