Oil in radiator

I have a 1996 sodc hyundai excel that had oil in the radiator I have had the head removed, welded and hully serviced, new gaskets and a new radiator fitted along with new hoses. To start with the problem seemed to be fixed but about a month aafter the repairs the radiator is foull of oilly sludge again could there be somewhere else the oil is coming from

Did you get the cooling system sufficiently cleaned out in the first place. It takes a lot to remove all oil residue. I generally have to remove the thermostat and flush the system repeatedly using dish washing liquid and water. It's also possible that they didn't repair the head properly.

I paid $550 for the head to be done so I would have hoped it was done properly. The oil is getting worse is there any way it could get in to the water through the font timing cover?

How would I check if it is the head as the whole job cost over $1300 and I do not have the money to do again

You could try pressure testing the cooling system to see if it holds pressure but that's not completely reliable. It's basically just a process of elimination.

I will try the dish washing liquid to try and clean it better hopefully this is the only problem otherwise I guess it needs to go back to the shop thanks
