Air Bag Warning Light - Batery change

Hyundai Elantra 1996. Air Bag System was fine before Battery Change. After Battery Change, the light is ON. How to reset it? Should I spend the high diagnostic charges?

Try disconnecting the battery negative terminal for at least 30 seconds and retest. If light comes on, ensure the charging rate of alternator is correct.

If above fails to reset, you would have to bite the bullet and get a diagnostic scan done.
