The car cranks but won't start. Tried scanning it and it won't read it at all, like its not even plugged in. Scanned another car and it works fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks for you reply. It was my friends scanner and I didn't really see him operate it. I did see it was on when off the connector then when he plugged it in there was no change.

So did the scanner say anything when it was plugged into your connector? Also see if the orange wire to the connector has power.
