1996 Ford Thunderbird shift cover

I have a Ford Thunder Bird 1996 model My car has a shifter on the floor. I have drop something down in the space under the cover. How do I take the cover off to get in there to get what I dropped. I have not looked at it excalty yet. But, If you tell me how and what to do I can pretty much be able to do it. Thank you,

Tracie:
Check around the area for plastic plugs that are removable. If you find them, remove them and there should be a screw that is under them.

Let me know what you find.
