All will be OK

you need auto shop that will diagnose and repair
and I think you may need a head gasket test and repair
so check if they can handle the job 1st
if its mount up to a head gasket

Hello

This could be several things. Air in the system will cause erratic gauge readings. A defective radiator cap will too. A defective sending unit, a defective thermostat. If your cooling fans are not properly working, coming on and off, your water pump may not be moving the coolant and your radiator may be clogged.

All assuming you do have plenty of antifreeze in the system....... Yes?

Not sure when the last time you had the system open for repairs..... But my suggestion would be to first, ensure the system has the correct amount of coolant, no air in the system, ensure the cooling fans are proper working, replace the radiator cap..... Then change the sending unit, then the thermostat. Do these one at a time to see what makes the difference.

If you need more assistance then please ensure you provide the exact engine by liter and the 8th digit of your VIN.

Try replacing the thermostat-not it do the following below:

Have it block and pressure tested-do the block first to pinpoint a combustion leaking into the cooling system or a gas analyzer to sniff for hydrocarbons at the radiator fill neck.

Pressure test: do not do a pressure test if there's leakage at the headgasket this might cause coolant into the cylinders and lock it up or bend a connecting rod if cranked thereafter. The headgasket should be repaired before doing the pressure test.

If the block and pressure test passes check the following:, Pressure test the Rad. Cap, Clogged radiator, air lock in the cooling system, Fan clutch, Radiator electrical fan, collaspe hoses, water pump.
