Will the struts off a 2008 Shelby cobra fit on my 1996 gt 4.6l?

12 years difference, not likely. GM, for sure not. Chrysler, good chance as parts interchangeability is very good. Since there are so many different grades of struts and shock absorbers, you're better off comparing part numbers and pictures between the two years on rockauto.com.
