1996 Ford Explorer Xlt 4wd V6 Shifting Into Reverse Wait Engage First Starting

I have a 1996 Ford Explorer XLT 4wd V6. When shifting into reverse have to wait for it to engage when first starting up vehicle. Only when vehicle has been running it fine.Changed trans filter already,still the same issue.

could be a bad seal or a bad piston in the clutch
