how do i get the window loose to push up on my 96 ford explorer

The window glass is attached to a track. You need to get the entire assembly to go up otherwise, the glass will lay loose at the bottom of the door. If you have power windows, check to see if there is power to the motor. If there is, the motor needs replaced. If there is no power, move back to the switch to see where power is lost.
