my car won't pass smog due to the lack of monitor readings on the computer. My local guys says just keep driving it but I've put another 600 mi. on it and no change in the readings. No info for the o2 sensors, egr or the catalyst?

So your o2 sensor egr and cat monitors aren't set? That would be really odd because unless someone cleared the codes battery went dead disconnected the battery those monitors should be set.
