how do i remove and replace the fuel pump?

1996 FORD E-SERIES VAN

im told its in the gas tank, so how do i get to it and replace it?

You need to remove the fuel tank to get it. Make sure to disconnect the battery before you do anything.

Why are you wanting to replace the gas tank? you may not need to.
