Would it be better to use premium or regular in the car.

i have a 1996 ford contour. 4 cyl. Manuel. Would it be better for the car ir the preformance of the car if i put premium in it?? Or should i stick with regular? Would my mpgs improve at all? Or what would the pros and cons be?

regular fuel you'll notice hardly any difference at all with premium
