Battery overcharging

I have gone through 3 batteries that overcharging, I have changed the alternator thinking that would solve the problem, what else can I try? This is 1996 Dodge Neon, 2.0 engine

Have the computer controlled of the alternator field generation circuit checked out

Measure the voltage on the two small wires on the back of the alternator while the engine is running. One will have full battery voltage. The other one is the secret to where to go next. Holler back with those numbers.
