THE TRANSMISSION ON MY CARAVAN HAS APPROX 77,000 MILES SINCE I REPLACED IT WITH A REMAN, IT IS MAKING A WHINNING NOISE, IT ALMOST SOUNDS LIKE THE SAME NOISE THAT A FUEL PUMP MAKES. IT SHIFTS NORMAL BUT WHEN I MOVE THE SHIFT SELECTOR BETWEEN PARK AND DRIVE IT MAKES IT LOUDER, WHETHER IT IS ENGAGED IN GEAR OR NOT. OH, I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE BACK-UP LIGHTS DON'T COME ON AS WELL.
THANKS

Thanks for the reply. I have not changed it (it has 77,000 miles on it). And the noise is louder as the vehicle is sitting still due to road noise when in motion.

Sounds like you may have an issue with the front pump. The transmission should have been serviced. Non service may have resulted in premature wear.
