My 1996 Daewoo Cielo gives out black smoke from the exhaust.

I got 2 obd trouble codes 13 and 44.
Both point to oxygen sensor.
could it be bad.
how do I find out and how can I remove it to check.

Removing it will tell you nothing.
A shop with a scan tool can monitor the voltage too see if the sensor is bad or something else causing the motor to run very rich.
