The van was running fine until I was sitting for 5 minutes and went to start it and it made the one click and then all power was gone. Nothing at all is powered in the interior of the van. When I turn the key there is no sound and when its turned to off the clock will come on then fade out in about 5 seconds. No power, no horn, no windows nothing. Under the hood the built in work light has power but thats all on the outside. I am not sure what the problem is and its not here to work on. Just a few days ago the drivers side door lock, electric will not unlock. Only thing I can think of that could be related

Check and test the battery and connections to include the starter motor side, could also be the ignition switch.

Battery is ok and the starter is good. The problem appears to be an overall short. It was fine and when I turned the key to start it the van lost all electric power. The ignition makes no noise at all. I have looked for any fuse that could be the problem, starting simple, it just wont operate anything except the mirrors and underhood light. I dont know what the problem is unless it has an open and is draining the battery all the way to dead very quickly. So going to test battery again this time out of the Van and see what readings we get. I am lost totally

Check the small wire on the battery positive cable or at the starter that has a lump on it, this is the fusible link
