I have a 1996 Chevy PU with a 5.7CU motor with SFI injection. I have spark to the cylinders but no fuel. I have fuel to the fuel meter but none out. The meter and injectors are integral and located in the intake manifold. I suspect the fuel meter or engine control module. How can I check to see which it is? I can find little about SFI injection on line. Thank you

Check pressure regulator which is under manifold fuel pressure must be 60-66 psi or you won't run. It may be a bad pump. Check with a pressure gauge auto parts rent them

A lot of these is to replace meter and injectors which is about $400. Scan for codes as well see if anything is picked up by scanner. Youmay need a pro to do it.

Having trouble scanning. It is an ODB 1. Trying to find old reader. Thanks for getting back. I was hoping there is a way to check the meter before replacing. As you know the meter and injectors are a unit. I am going to try a junk yard?

I tried to have the codes read at AutoZone some time back and they said they couldn't read because it was OBD 1.
