1996 chevy 3500 pickup with a 454 and automatic. Idles fine but when you touch gas pedal it shuts off does not stumble or cough, seems like i shut it off.

check for a vacuum leak including seeif intake bolts are loose. check fuel pressure as well.scan for codes. fp should be 56-63 psi if lower replace the pump and filter.
