I have a 1996 chevy silverado 1500 and the ecm b fuse keeps blowing. We were driving and it died. Now the fuse blows everytime the key is turned on. The truck will turn over but not start. Unhooked the ecm and the fuse doesnt blow. Could it be something simplier than the ecm itself ? If yes, what ? HELP !!!

Check the fuel pump amp draw, generic spec around 10 amps. Have you ever changed the fuel filter? Just trying to think positive. Don't take any fuel lines loose without being sure there is no pressure on the system.

Unplug the fuel pump relay and see if the fuse blows-if not your problem coulde be between the relay and fuel pump
