I replaced Alternator and now have no power to anything not even headlamps. Could faulty alternator interrupt electrical current flow? Even to Headlamps?

I have tried to boost start with another vehicle and still got no power to anything. (boost start before replacing alternator worked well) I have tested battery and it is holding a charge.

It sounds like the main power cable has been left off the alternator, if not

Have you made sure the battery cables are clean and tight? Also checked all the fuses and fuseable links?
