I had a "backyard" mechanic replace my alternator. (Did a good job) but the car still wont start. Is it spark plugs? 96 chevy limina

Do you have a security light on or blinking
when trying to start?
If its cranking and not starting, have spark, fuel and injector pulse, remove spark plugs and check
