Where is the fuel pump located in a 1996 Chevy Cheyenne 1500? And how would you replace it?

the fuel pupmp is in the gas tank. You might have to buy the whole fuel pump assembly which would include the sending unit. you can either drop the tank or if you have a full tank, remove the 8 bolts that hold the box on and disconnect the electrical harness on the drivers side rear and lift the box off and take it out that way. you will also need to disconnect the fuel fill hose and vent or disconnect it from the box with the two screws and push pin. then move the box back to access the tank.
